Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club is a resort truly worthy of its five
star distinction. Elegant two-bedroom, two-bath timeshare villas offer
separate living and dining areas, private lanai, master suite with a
separate bath, and oversized soaking tub and shower. Each unit features
a king bed in the master suite, a king bed and double sofa bed in the
guest suite, a queen sleeper sofa in the living area, and a full
kitchen with cookware and tableware. The
Waiohai Beach Club is beautifully landscaped with waterfalls and
lagoons, lush tropical plants, and the sandy shores of Poipu Beach just
steps away. Spend a lazy day in the sun snorkeling or swimming in the
ocean or either of the two outdoor pools. While the beach is perfect
for children, the resort also offers a shallow children's pool for a
day of splashing and playing. Grab a snack at The MarketPlace, or sit
down for a meal at The Kiawe Grill. Also on-site are a fitness center
and children's activity center. One of the top ten things to do
while staying at the Marriott's Waiohai Beach Club is take a cruise to
the Fern Grotto. Cruise up the Wailua River to a lava rock grotto
covered with tropical ferns. At the grotto, you will be serenaded by
Hawaiian musicians playing traditional, local songs. The acoustics
within this natural amphitheater are fantastic and greatly enhance the
singing and guitar accompaniment. The trip up this historic and sacred
river takes about 40 minutes via a long flat bottom riverboat. Boats
depart from the south side of the river every 30 minutes. The Wailua
River is the only navigable river in Hawaii.
